Allt-i-Ett User Guide

Welcome!

Congratulations on selecting your new ALLT·i·ETT

This user guide describes the features and explains how to set up the ALLT·i·ETT for the best sound quality and ease of operation in order to allow for the most enjoyable reproduction of sound from all your sources.

The ALLT·i·ETT includes stereo power amplifiers, and no fewer than six front-facing loudspeakers and two rear-facing loudspeakers, for room-filling immersive sound.

The ALLT·i·ETT gives you superb sound from your TV and other video sources via the latest eARC connection, as well as from your other analogue and digital sources, and streaming sources. It also includes a built-in DAB+ and FM radio.

What is eARC?

eARC stands for Enhanced Audio Return Channel. It’s an enhanced version of ARC that lets you connect high quality sound systems like the ALLT·i·ETT to a TV via a standard HDMI cable.

Most TVs provide two or three HDMI sockets to allow you to send video to the TV from a device such as a set-top box, games console, or Blu-ray player. On a TV with ARC an additional HDMI socket marked ARC or eARC allows you to send digital audio from the TV to a sound system like the ALLT·i·ETT; it’s called a return channel because, unlike the video channels, it’s going from the TV to the external device.

So to get superb sound from your TV all you need to do is connect the TV’s eARC HDMI socket to the ALLT·i·ETT’s eARC socket with an HDMI cable. If your TV only supports ARC you’ll still get the superb sound, but without the enhancements of eARC.

CEC

Both eARC and ARC also provide CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), that allows the TV to control the ALLT·i·ETT volume, and bring it out of standby. You can choose which of these options you want in the ALLT·i·ETT HDMI CEC settings.

Alternatives

Finally, if your TV doesn’t support eARC or ARC you can still get superb TV sound from the ALLT·i·ETT by connecting the TV’s audio output to the ALLT·i·ETT via a digital optical cable.
