Prisma Updating Information

Standard updating procedures:

  1. OOBE (Out of Box Experience)
Prisma devices check for a new firmware on the server as soon as you initially set up or reset your device using the Google Home app.
  2. Periodic four-hour update
Prisma checks the OTA server every four hours and updates the firmware if there is no active playback and user interaction with the device.
Note: The update will be delayed until the next four hours if the device is playing during automatic verification.
  3. Reboot method
Prisma checks for a new firmware after restarting (turning the device off and turning on with the AC power switch on the back, or disabling and turning on NP5 Prisma).

1. Open the Prisma app and go to Settings > Information > System Information to check if the update has already occurred. Compare your Prisma device’s firmware version with the Current Firmware tab in this FAQ.

2.If the update hasn’t occurred, force it by rebooting the Prisma device:

•For NP5 Prisma: Unplug and reconnect the power supply.

•For other models: Turn the AC mains power switch off and on.

3.The device will perform a full system check and install any available updates. Allow up to 10 minutes for the process, avoiding any use during this time.

4.If interrupted or stuck, simply reboot the device again.
