Primare Prisma Update Released

We are pleased to announce that the latest Prisma OTA automatic firmware update launched today, CAST 1.36, improving control and connectivity features.

Important Note for I15 Prisma/CD15 Prisma: I15 Prisma and CD15 Prisma will be reset to factory default after this OTA update. As with recent SC15 Prisma update, a feature of this update is programming that will prevent the need for a factory reset in all future OTA updates.

Firmware model prefix

• The firmware version will now be shown with the model name in front of the version number. For example, “PRE35 2.08” will be displayed instead of “2.08”.
• Note: firmware version can be displayed and confirmed in three places:

1. Front panel controls to show on front display: Press and hold STANDBY button
2. C25 to show on front display: go to Main Menu: -> General settings -> Firmware versions
3. Prisma app: -> Settings -> Information -> System information

RS232 reply

• RS232 reply functionality in 15, 25, and 35 Series models have been improved.

SDDP (Control4)

• SDDP, the communication protocol used by Control4, is now implemented in all Prisma models.
• Note: individual Control 4 drivers are needed for each model to control Prisma products. Drivers are currently under development for release at a later date.

Input balance

• Analog input balance can now be adjusted for any analog input in nine 0.5db steps, for either left or right channel, making it possible to decrease level up to 4.5dB in one channel.
• Go to Main Menu -> Input settings -> Input balance
• Note:
• Main balance setting will not be overridden by input balance setting. Input balance setting will be in addition to the main balance setting.
• If the input is set to FIXED, balance control for that input will be disabled.

I15 Prisma and SC15 Prisma ANALOG OUT Setting Options: PRE or LINE

• I15 Prisma and SC15 Prisma lack separate LINE and PRE outputs, as found in other models. A new setting in the AUDIO menu has been added to allow for selection of PRE or LINE output functionality for the ANALOG OUT connection.
• Go to Menu -> AUDIO -> ANALOG OUTPUT -> PRE or LINE
• PRE is the default setting, with the volume control in line for adjusting the output level from the ANALOG OUT connection. This setting can be changed to LINE for fixed line level output (full or 66 on the volume scale) from the ANALOG OUT connection. When set to LINE, loudspeaker output is muted, as is WiSA output and its settings are locked.
• The AUDIO button on C25 remote has been assigned for easier toggling between PRE and LINE setting. Press and hold the AUDIO button. When selecting LINE a warning will be shown, allowing for confirmation of the FIXED output setting:
• Please note when changing to LINE setting, high level outputs will be muted (speaker out on I15 and WiSA out on SC15)
• Note: when selected, this setting affects all inputs.

WiSA for PRE35 DAC and PRE35 Prisma

• WiSA high resolution wireless speaker connectivity activated in PRE35 DAC and PRE35 Prisma models.

Chromecast Built-in Updated to Cast v1.36

• All Prisma models updated to Cast v1.36 for improved connection and control consistency.
